Artemisia Gentileschi is my favourite artist; a woman who took revenge with paint after she was sexually assaulted by a man her father hired to tutor her and, remarkably for her time, chose to press charges against him.

DeleteI absolutely loved 1984 by George Orwell! It is definitely my favourite book of the year. He is such a legendary writer. However, I am currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and so far I am loving it! It may take over as my favourite book!
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to admit I still haven't read The Picture of Dorian Gray, but I agree that 1984 is a real masterpiece of the genre.
DeleteInterview with a vampire! I love Anne Rice so so much.
ReplyDeleteI've never read any Anne Rice but I've heard so many good things I'll have to give her a try! I do enjoy the Interview with a Vampire film so I should check out the book.
DeleteThe Essex Serpent! It was such an amazing read with a Wuthering Heights kind of vibe.
